Change of Goals in the Structure of Psychological Self-Regulation of Personality

An online seminar was held in the laboratory with the participation of Elena Rasskazova (PhD) dedicated to situations of personality refusal from set goals and their changes.

Despite of popular beliefs about abandoning a goal as an unsuccessful self-regulation, the arguments were considered that the ability to flexibly change one's goals is an important component in the structure of psychological self-regulation, which cannot be reduced to other components and personal resources. The author presented the results of a series of her empirical studies on the relationship of rejection and goal change with psychological self-regulation, personal resources and well-being.
