A joint interregional conference of Tomsk State University and the Laboratory

On July 08-09 Tomsk State University together with the Lab held an interregional conference: "Psychology of motivation in modern social contexts".

The organizers of the Conference were: from HSE University – the International Laboratory of Positive Psychology of Personality and Motivation, from Tomsk State University – the Faculty of Psychology.

Psychologists from Tomsk, Moscow and the USA discussed joint projects in the field of motivation, self-development, cross-cultural differences, personal development, responsibility, etc.

The first day of the conference was devoted to reports. Topics such as motivation, self-regulation, personal potential, and subjective well-being were discussed. 

The Academic Supervisor of the Lab K. M. Sheldon made an extensive report on the topic: "Self-determination theory, development motivation and happiness: classical and modern perspectives". Prof. Sheldon presented the results of his recent research.

The Head of the Lab D.A. Leontiev presented an overview of current research on the problems of self-regulation, psychological resources and personal potential.

The report of the leading researcher of the Lab T.O. Gordeeva was devoted to new approaches to the study of motivation and its measurement.

The report of the leading researcher of the Lab E.N. Osin was devoted to the research of the time perspective in a cross-cultural context.

Professors of Tomsk State University also performed: Prog. Klochko V.E. presented the report "Motivation of self-development: value-semantic conditionality" and Prof. Lukyanov O.V. presented the research "Motivation in the contexts of identification, authentication and involvement".

The result of the first day of the Conference was a discussion (presenters: D.A. Leontiev (HSE) and O.V. Lukyanov (TSU)).

On the second day, project groups were organized, within which the prospects of joint research were discussed. The result of the second day was a Round table (presenters: D.A. Leontiev (HSE) and O.V. Lukyanov (TSU)).

During its meeting, the results of the Conference were summed up.
