‘HSE University Has a Lot to Offer to Applicants from Southeast Asia’

A delegation from HSE University presented the institution at the Indonesia International Education and Training Expo. Additionally, a series of events were organised in Jakarta, the capital city of the country, where representatives from HSE University interacted with Indonesian applicants interested in bachelor's and master's programmes.

Indonesia's capital was visited by staff members of the HSE International Admissions Office in Moscow and the HSE St. Petersburg International Office. The highlight of the visit was the university's participation in the Indonesia International Education and Training Expo, one of the largest educational exhibitions in the region. HSE University's booth was highly sought after by potential applicants who showed active interest in the opportunities of studying at a Russian university and securing scholarships.

'This marks our first participation in the educational exhibition in Indonesia since the pandemic, and it's noteworthy that Russian education is both sought after and highly valued here. HSE University has a lot to offer applicants from Southeast Asia; therefore, the university should undoubtedly continue to strengthen its presence in the region.'

During the visit, representatives of HSE University conducted face-to-face meetings with applicants and their parents at the Russian House in Jakarta, and also met with alumni who had previously studied at HSE campuses over the years. Traditionally, applicants consider enrolling in HSE University due to its reputation and high rankings both domestically and internationally.

Indonesian students are among the over 5,200 international students studying across HSE University's five campuses. Last year, HSE University's building on Pokrovsky Bulvar in Moscow hosted the first Garuda festival of Indonesian culture. The event was organised with support from the Indonesian Embassy, among others. Integration events, student extracurricular activities, and numerous national clubs operating at the university all help international students feel like they are part of a large HSE family.
