Interregional Conference in Tomsk
At the beginning of july International Laboratory of Positive Psychology of Personality and Motivation together with Tomsk State University held an interregional conference: "Psychology of motivation in modern social contexts".
Psychologists from Tomsk, Moscow and the USA discussed joint projects about motivation, self-development, cross-cultural distinctions, personal development, responsibility, etc.
The first day of the conference was devoted to reports. Such topics as motivation, self-regulation, personal potential, subjective well-being were covered.
Academic supervisor of the International laboratory Ken Sheldon made an extensive report: «Self-determination theory, motivation of development and happiness: classic and contemporary perspectives." He also presented the results of his recent research.
The head of International laboratory - D.A. Leontiev - presented an overview of current research problems of self-regulation, psychological resources and personal potential.
Tamara Gordeeva - leading research fellow - talked about new approaches to the study of motivation and its measurement.
Evgeny Osin - leading research fellow - made a report about time perspective research in a cross-cultural context.
On the second day there was a discussion in project groups about prospects of joint studies.
