Workshop on processing methods of motivational induction by J. Nütten
An interuniversity scientific and practical workshop dedicated to the processing and coding of the projective methods of motivational induction J. Nütten has been held.
The workshop was attended by researchers of the International Laboratory of Positive Psychology of Personality and Motivation and colleagues from the Yaroslavl State Medical Academy
The methods of motivational induction (MMI) was proposed by Joseph Nütten (University of Leuven, Belgium) to study the time perspective of the future. It is based on the projective method of unfinished sentences. Of particular interest is the method of data coding, Josef Nutten suggested for each answer to use two different codes - temporary and meaningful. The Russian version of the methodology was proposed by D.A. Leontiev.
The workshop began with the theoretical introduction of the head of the International Laboratory of Positive Psychology of Personality and Motivation Dmitry Alekseevich Leontyev, briefly outlined the main provisions used by Joseph Nyutten to create the methodology, as well as the basic principles of coding the data received.
In the second block, the floor was given to Elena Yurievna Ovchinnikova, a researcher at the International Laboratory of Positive Psychology of Personality and Motivation, she shared her experience with the methodology of motivational induction, spoke about the main problems encountered in her practice, as well as possible ways to solve them.
The third block of the workshop was devoted to practical work on coding the results, the data obtained from a sample of students of Yaroslavl State Medical University were used as educational material. As a result of group work, two new codes were proposed for use, and the main criteria for selecting one or another temporal and informative code were detailed.
In March, a second seminar on the Nütten methodology is planned; the goal of both seminars is to develop uniform recommendations for coding data obtained using the motivational induction methodology.
