An instructor at the University of Missouri – Columbia, recently offered a lecture course at the HSE Winter School 2015 on the psychology of motivation.
On the eve of the new year we spoke to the head of the International Laboratory of Positive Psychology of Personality and Motivation, Dmitry Leontiev about why positive psychology does not solve problems but keeps them at bay, is uncertainty dangerous and why shouldn’t we battle with anxiety about the future.
From October 20 to 28, 2014, the Autumn School on Data Analysis for employees and friends of the International Laboratory of Positive Psychology of Personality and Motivation took place at the HSE Training Centre in Voronovo.
The 7th European Conference on Positive Psychology took place in Amsterdam on July 1-4, 2014.
The conference was attended by the following members of our laboratory: Dmitry Leontiev, Alexey Ulanovsky, Evgeny Osin and Tatiana Ivanova. One of the symposia was devoted entirely to the Russian case: our staff presented a study of the wellbeing of Russian workers with an emphasis on the role of motivation and personal resources.
On May 26-28, the ‘Wellbeing at work’ conference took place in Copenhagen. The conference was interdisciplinary in nature, with an aim to bring together current knowledge from different academic fields in order to solve the problem of well-being at work.
